For our growing team located in Sofia, we are currently looking for a Financial Settlement Analyst who will maintain an intensive collaboration and communication with the team in Switzerland. You will assure and contribute to the settlement trading processing of our customers, counterparties, DSO's and TSO's, which includes securing of the operative settlement of the electricity, gas, certificate, coal and oil contracts and the corresponding derivatives traded by the originators and the traders

What you will do

• Analyze business processes, identify inefficiencies and streamline the processes in order to be optimized for automation through technical solutions;

• Assure timely and complete control and action on all cash flows from the trading system (ENDUR) towards the accounting system (SAP)

• Handle all incoming investigation and clarification requests related to the financial settlement for the responded area together with the team in Switzerland

• Execution of daily margin controls, reconciliation of all relevant cash flows for all exchange-traded products against the clearing bank and the exchanges, booking of exchange related fees and rebates, and distribution to the appropriate portfolios

• Securing process engineering and management of all entrusted tasks.

What you bring & who you are

• University degree (ideally in engineering, data analytics, IT, Finance, physics, or mathematics) with 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst with proven technical skills applied in the Financial Services or Energy Trading Industries;

• Experience implementing small technical solutions to support process automation, the know-how of relational databases (e.g. MS SQL Server, T-SQL), proven programming skills (e.g. R, Python, incl. SQL, C#), advanced Excel skills (e.g. VBA, PowerQuery) and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlikview) would be desirable;

• Excellent data analytical skills and process improvement focus with solid Data Analysis and reporting experience;

• Languages: fluent English and other languages a plus (optional)

• Very good communication and prioritization skills

• Strong competence in problem-solving

• High customer and result orientation

• Entrepreneurial and pro-active mindset
