As an Energy Trader you will be responsible for the monitoring of the market exposure, preparing daily and monthly reports and supporting the Companies commercial activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring of daily processes related to forecasting, scheduling, trading and price data collection and processing.
  • Monitoring of the process of receiving metering data from SCADA in real time.
  • Assisting in implementation of renewables plants in software applications/ETRMs.
  • Offering measures for optimizing the trading processes.
  • Creating and submitting orders to the SEE spot markets (Day-ahead and Intraday segments) based on forecasted production updates.
  • Monitoring of the meteorological conditions in the regions where the production plants are located and updating the production forecasts.
  • Creating and submitting trading and production delivery schedules to the SEE and TSOs (TPSs and PPSs).
  • Preparation of monthly settlement reports and ad-hoc reports for imbalances and balancing costs.
  • Regular monitoring of balancing markets in SEE where the company operates, including balancing prices, system imbalance, regulation, and direction, etc. in order to prepare strategies for optimizing the trading positions and the costs of imbalance of the company and the participants in its balancing groups.
  • Analysis of forecast and actual market and power generation data.
  • Receiving and reviewing O&M reports (incl. planned/unplanned outages and significant production decrease).
  • Monitoring the market exposure and sending requests for collaterals amounts increase.
  • Monitoring EU level regulations and local legislation changes.
  • Supports the companies commercial activities and licensing processes.

Qualifications and skills:

  • College/university degree in Engineering and/or Economics.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy markets is advantageous.
  • 1+ year experience in the energy sector and energy trading is required.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Good knowledge in programming in Python will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in using Excel, Word and Power-Point is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented.
