What is the IBM / Cisco Networking Incubator Program?

IBM and Cisco sponsors the Incubator Program as a way to help prepare graduating students for a career in Network Technology.

The students selected to participate will receive advanced education related to Cisco Network Technology and profession skills development. Upon completion of the program the students will be better prepared, and more competitive, to begin a career as a Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) engineer with IBM, or other Cisco Network Technology positions with IBM or other Sofia employers.

How do I get considered for a position in the Incubator Program?

Students meeting the application criteria must apply for a position in the program. IBM and Cisco will then invite the most qualified applicants to fill Initial Assessment Test. This initial test will be held on 19th October 2022 to ensure the selected students have the appropriate skills to successfully participate in the program.

If I am selected for the program, what should I expect?

Students selected for the program will attend 7 online training sessions held every Tuesday at 18:00. Attendance in all sessions is required. During these 3-hour evening sessions we will take you through an exciting journey, combining cutting-edge technology topics and soft skills coaching. The program includes:

  • Rigorous technical training from Cisco TAC engineers
  • Hand-on experience with Cisco devices
  • Ongoing assessments and personalized feedback
  • Preparation for industry recognized certifications
  • Pathways to higher education and career opportunity
  • TAC Incubator Program Certificate of Completion

What subjects will be covered during the training?

The training will include the 7 technical lectures related to the networking world and 1 professional development session. All that to help students prepare for a career in today’s IT Networking industry. The 2022 program will include:

What are the application Criteria?

  • Fluency in English - both written and spoken;
  • CCNA certification in progress / interest in obtaining Cisco certificate;
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals;
  • Excellent Communication skills;
